Admissions

Parents interested in enrolling their child are encouraged to schedule an appointment to observe the classroom environment. To secure a spot, an application for admission must be submitted along with a non-refundable deposit.

Redwood Montessori welcomes children aged 2½ to 6 years and upholds a non-discriminatory policy.

To ensure readiness for the program, children are required to be toilet-trained and independent in the bathroom.

Siblings of currently enrolled students are given priority during the enrolment process.

After submitting your application and deposit, a home visit and classroom visit will be scheduled with your family. During the home visit, Miss Sarah will meet your child in the comfort of their home, introduce them to the classroom experience, and share photos of the space and other children engaged in activities. This visit serves as a warm and supportive first step, helping your child feel comfortable and confident about transitioning into the classroom.

Following the home visit, your child will participate in a classroom visit. During this visit, they will receive a personalized tour and an introduction to some of the exciting work they will get to explore once they begin school. This additional step fosters familiarity with the space and encourages your child to feel more confident entering the building independently.

Finally, new children are gradually integrated into the classroom, with one or two joining each day at the start of the year. This intentional approach ensures that each child receives the time, attention, and support they need for a smooth and exciting transition to Montessori school.
