About Montessori

“It is true, we cannot make a genius. We can only give each individual the chance to fulfill his or her potential possibilities to become an independent, secure, and balanced human being.”
- Maria Montessori

The Montessori Method

The core idea of Montessori education is that all children possess unique gifts. To develop their physical, intellectual, and spiritual potential to the fullest, children must be given freedom within a structured and supportive environment. This freedom allows children to explore, grow, and create order from the seemingly chaotic world of sights and sounds around them. Gradually, they gain confidence, independence, and mastery of themselves and their surroundings.

Dr. Montessori introduced the concept of the Prepared Environment—a thoughtfully designed space that provides order and encourages children to learn at their own pace, according to their abilities, and in a nurturing, non-competitive atmosphere.

The years between three and six are a pivotal period for children to absorb the rules of human behavior and develop their sense of place within their culture. Montessori education focuses on empowering children during this time, fostering independence and preparing them for life.
